REGIONAL ENHANCEMENT WORKSHOP FOR NSPC 2020 QUALIFIERS

The five-day Regional Enhancement Writeshop for NSPC 2020 Qualifiers was conducted by the Department of Education - Regional Office and participated by the qualified campus paper journalists who won during the Regional Schools Press Conference coming from different public and private schools in the entire Caraga Region. The writeshop was in cognizance to the implementation of Republic Act 7079, otherwise known as Campus Journalism Act of 1991, which mandates to uphold and protect the freedom of the press even at the campus level and to promote the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.
PSHS - CRC campus paper journalists and advisers attended enhancement writeshop last January 21 - 25, 2020. Ten (10) students were sent in the said enhancement writeshop, five (5) for group category and five (5) for individual category. The following events for the said enhancement writeshop are TV Broadcasting in English and Filipino, Radio Broadcasting in English, News Writing for both Filipino and English, Editorial Cartooning, Sports Writing in English and Photojournalism in English.
