
Virtual Students' Career Symposium

The Guidance Unit and LCDP Coordinator conducted a Career Symposium/Conference last September 30, 2020 for the Grade 10 and 11 students with the theme: "Making a Difference in STEM Career Path". This was to empower students to discover their passion, explore their career options, develop their personal career plan, and attain their goals as part of their lifelong educational philosophy. The school invited students, teachers, career advocates and guidance counselors from public and private schools in Caraga Region. The following panel of speakers and experts shared their knowledge and wisdom and helped our students make an informed decision on what careers they pursue and passion to develop: Rob Rances, BrainX Founder/CEO and Executive Coach; Dr. Marie Antoinette A. Dellosa, Neurologist and Mother of a Pisay Scholar; Elmer P. Dadios, Ph.D., De La Salle University Engineering Professor & Robotics Expert; Rowena Varela, Ph.D., Caraga State University Agriculture and Environment Professor, Entomologist, Vice President for Research, Innovation & Extension; Ian June L. Garces, Ph.D., Ateneo de Manila University Math Professor, former National Coach to the International Math Olympiad, author and consultant, and Rolyn C. Daguil,Ph.D., Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences of Caraga State University, MapX Founder and IT Expert.
